Black Betty came into our rescue program on August 28, 2023. Black Betty came into our rescue program from the Major County Sheriff's Office along with 18 other horses and 1 very obese pot belly pig, as a cruelty case. Many other animals were seized as well and sent to a local small animal rescue. I am unsure of how many deceased animals were found on the property. Many of the horses had respiratory issues upon arrival. On September 28, 2023, In the District Court of Major County and the State of Oklahoma, having filed its motion regarding the animals pursuant to 21 O.S. 1680.4 and 4 O.S. 512, it is ordered that ownership is transferred to Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue. Black Betty is a Beautiful, Black, Miniature Horse, Mare. Black Betty is estimated to be 11 years of age upon arrival into our program. Black Betty is in good weight with a body score of 6. She has extremely overgrown feet. Black Betty is very ill upon arrival and being monitored daily for fevers. This sweet girl has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Please consider making a donation towards Black Betty's Rehabilitation.
